| Truth B Told 4.26.07: Total Non-Stop Acrimony
TBT is busting out the big $2 words this week as we take a big picture look at TNA. A little TNA hope and hate all at the same time. Something for everyone to enjoy. Like hooking up with a hermaphrodite. You remember back in the day when TNA was like the new hot girl in class. For the past few years you sat in your Economics class wondering how it become such a bastion of geeks, freaks, and fattys. But then one day at the start of the spring semester this new face is seated a few rows from yours and all of a sudden you start to get a little excited. As the class goes on you become more and more infatuated with her, she seems like an angel. It seems like each passing week get you more and more giddy with the possibility of something real and lasting coming to fruition. But just as you are ready to seal the deal, tragedy strikes in the form of a big dumb jerk stealing her away from you.
Laments Jonathan Miller's withdrawal
Not long ago I endorsed Jonathan Miller's campaign for the governorship. I did so for what I thought were good reasons: He is young and intelligent; he was speaking against the established downward flow of Kentucky politics; he was openly opposed to mountaintop removal. Soon after my endorsement, he quit the race, allegedly for what I think is a bad reason: fear of defeat for the Democratic Party, or for his "wing" of it. I am a Democrat, especially when Republicans are in power, and so I, too, would rather not see the Democrats defeated in the fall election. But I would be proud of this defeat if that should be the cost of actually standing for something worthwhile, such as real protection of the ecological health of our state or a just and needful system of taxation. .

Vince says that if Shawn is lucky, he can then get a shot at the ECW Champion. He walks off, but not before saying, "Peace out, my brothers." Cena says that Vince has lost it. Keys to the Game 5.05.07: Backlash: The WrestleMania Hangover
Unlike a peg-legged hooker, neither Backlash nor this article lived up to expectations. But hey... there's a poll at the end. Have you ever wondered why the Undertaker's eyes roll up in his head? Well maybe, just maybe, he watched Backlash last Sunday. With several WrestleMania matches being rehashed, I was particularly interested with how the individual adjustments would help garnish victory. Sadly, almost all participants entered into their matches with little to no pre-game preparation leading to an overall lackluster competition. United States Championship Match Winner Chris Benoit Key Apprehension Last month on Keys to the Game, we discussed how, while failing to capture the United States title, MVP managed to control the majority of his WrestleMania match with Chris Benoit, prompting us to look forward to a continued rivalry Although MVP continued to impose his athleticism and technical skills, even challenging Benoit with submissions of his own, his trepidation to engage with Benoit in the center of the ring seemed to handcuff the offense that appeared so fluent during their WrestleMania encounter.
