| Live WWE RAW Spoiler Coverage From London, England
*Todd Grisham is doing his best to warm up a noisy and full arena. We have heard eleven and a half thousand fans (a sellout) in attendance. Ric Flair does a promo, thanking us for our presence and says the WWE loves London. Jeff Hardy defeats Kenny in a decent ten minute match with the Swanton bomb. Mickie James defeats Victoria to not much reaction. Next up is Chris Masters vs. Val Venis, who comes out to almost no reaction despite my best efforts. Masters wins in an OK bout. Venis asks for a rematch right there and gets it, winning. Not sure how it will air on Heat. Crime Tyme defeat Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin - much to my dismay. Crowd a little quiet after heat. Surely its time for Raw now! In what seems like a dark match after a test start for Raw start, Johnny Nitro took on Eugene, who got a big reaction.
4/29 WWE Backlash HOLT report: What the live crowd saw that PPV ...
Just got back from Backlash last night and I must say that I throughly enjoyed the show. Here are some items from the show: -Ric Flair came out before them show began and cut a promo talking about how he loves Atlanta and he thanked us for selling out the building and told us to enjoy the show. This was definitely one of the best ways to get the crowd riled up. -I don't know how it came off on TV, but the crowd was pretty hot all night. -Carlito defeated Johnny Nitro in the pre-show match. Carlito was way over with the crowd. What in the world has happened to Nitro? -I noticed there were some scattered empty seats around the arena. In the "Executive Suites" section there were about 20 U.S. troops which I thought was cool. -Chris Benoit eneded up with a monster pop once he was announced as being from Atlanta.
Off Air Raw Notes and Heat Results (SPOILERS)
1) Chuck Palumbo defeated Kenny Dykstra with the Big Boot. Dykstra got amazing heel heat being the first guy out there, and Palumbo's motorcycle was over. I've never thought Chuck Palumbo stood a chance as a singles star, but he didn't look bad here. 2) Viscera defeated Eugene with the Boss Man Slam. Crowd was into Visc until they realized he's a heel this week. Eugene was in the process of "Eugening up" when Viscera caught him with the Boss Man Slam off the ropes. 3) The Highlanders defeated Phil Brown and Damien Wayne (announced as Wayne Costel for some reason, despite having "Damien Wayne" written on his tights) with the Scot Drop. 4) Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Cryme Tyme defeated Johnny Nitro & World's Greatest Tag Team when CT hit their finisher on Shelton (I believe). Good Heat main event.
411’s WWE Heat Report 05.13.07
To be taken advantage of by one Heat Recapper is unfortunate, but to be taken advantage of by TWO Heat Recappers makes me a damn idiot. But that's life I guess. Anywho, Slimmer is not around this weekend to care of this weeks Heat so for the second time in as many months I am here to save the day. Since I last recapped Heat I have actually started watching it on a semi-regular basis because most of the matches get decent time and usually aren't too bad. Now my main man Johnny Nitro is showing up on a regular basis it gives me even more reason to watch, and you should to! Look what you're missing out on! Tonight on Heat: HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! - Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Eugene are back in action this week, taking on Xavier and Scotty Charisma! HELLLLLLO, LADIES! - Check out Val Venis in action against Sean Reynolds! CASHING IN - Take a look back to SmackDown as the ever-opportunistic Edge cashed in his Money in the Bank contract! CULTURE SHOCK - Da Hood meets the A-list in this weeks main event, as Cryme Tyme take on Johnny Nitro and Kenny Dykstra! From hereon in, my thoughts will be printed in italics.
