One week after he tore Mr. McMahon's Executive Assistant limb from limb, Bobby Lashley will get another crack at Jonathan Coachman...this time in a sanctioned match Monday night on Raw. Will we see a repeat beating when these two square off one on one? Or will Coachman somehow manage to hold his own against the mountainous Lashley? Also, the new World Heavyweight Champion, Edge, will be at Raw to say goodbye. There's no doubt the Rated-R Superstar will be gloating as he makes his final Raw appearance before heading to SmackDown. WWE Champion John Cena has a tall mountain to climb as Raw heads to its final stop before Judgment Day. One would assume Cena will be looking for The Great Khali, the No. 1 contender, who stole the title and walked out of Raw last week after leveling The Champ with his own gold.

Less than a week before his title defense against Bobby Lashley at Judgment Day, ECW World Champion Mr. McMahon will stack the deck against his challenger. Last week, the Chairman looked like he was sending a message to Lashley when he, with the help of Shane McMahon and Umaga, crushed Rob Van Dam in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match. This week, in a prelude to the 3-on-1 Handicap Rematch for the ECW World Title at Judgment Day, Mr. McMahon has ordered Lashley to face all three members of the New Breed Elijah Burke, Marcus Cor Von, and Matt Striker in a Handicap Match. Will Lashley be able the overcome these odds with his title rematch just days away? Or will the New Breed leave the courageous former Army sergeant weakened and easy pickings for the Chairman-Champion and his vultures? Find out on ECW on Sci Fi.
Can They Be Champ? 5.16.07: Three New Former Champs
Lashley, Taker, and Christian recently lost their world titles. Will they ever hold world championship gold again? If only there was someone around here to predict these kinds of things... What a week. I actually was at the Smackdown taping where Taker dropped the belt to Edge. I wasn't planning on attending the taping at first, but when I realized that Taker was probably going to have to lose the belt in Pittsburgh, I figured it would be worth going to. Luckily, I was right. Judgment Day is coming, and although I was initially afraid the card would suck (seeing how it was going to be headlined by a Great Khali match), it has actually shaped up pretty well. I'm really looking forward to Batista v. Edge, Michaels v. Orton, and Benoit v. MVP. You may recall that awhile back I did a column predicting the next champions for all of the major world titles.
The MeeThinks Saturday Spectacular 05.05.07
Hey everybody! Once again, MeeThinks is back in action with a brand new dose of IWC optimism to wrap your 'rasslin week up on a high note. Sadly there's no time for reader mail this go-round, as I've been managing to get by without a PC for half of the week due to the fact that I'm moving across town (long story short -- Mee and the lady friend got a place together, and my entire life is more or less packed in boxes), but I'll do what I can to get everything unpacked this weekend so that we can include some of YourThinks for next wee's column, if possible. In the mean time... On tap this week: WrestleMania Shatters PPV Records New Breed on Speed Orton Gets Off Easy Undertaker Not So Much Bobby Lashley's Banged Up Ring Of Honor Inks a PPV Deal TNA, In Turn, Bails on ROH As you can see, not a LOT of stories -- but a number of pretty huge ones this week, so let's get to it, eh? .
THE SPECIALIST BLOG: Debating Shawn Michaels vs. John Cena II from ...
The first hour was probably a 3.0. The question is how much did the main event raise it? Well, a good amount. I just couldn't break the 7.0 barrier because, while the Cena-Michaels match was great, the rest of Raw wasn't. And of course, how well you liked the main event match will certainly decide if you liked this Raw overall. I really did not like the first segment with Shane, et al. Is beating some jobber from the U.K. supposed to make Lashley scared of the three-headed monster that is Vince & Umaga & Shane? Matt-Trevor was fine, and the finish was certainly unexpected, but if WWE hadn't cut the legs out from under Cade & Murdoch for the last year, they could actually have an interesting angle for the match instead of needing to build up the heels with singles wins. I guess the fact that there's even a tag title match on the show should be a good sign for the division.
