ECW Preview; WWE 24/7 Deal w/ Charter Comm; Stacy Keibler Engaged ...

When ECW on Sci Fi went off the air last week, Rob Van Dam had earned a match against ECW World Champion Mr. McMahon. This week, however, the Chairman has used his power to change things up a bit.

WWE.com has learned that the Chairman and company plan on coming to ECW this week to once and for all kill the original spirit of ECW Rob Van Dam. Apparently, Mr. McMahon had no intentions of ever going one-on-one with RVD.

I knew this was going to happen, RVD told WWE.com after hearing the news. I knew that Mr. McMahon wasnt going to go one-on-one with me. If Shane and Umaga are going to be there, then Im challenging all three of them.

And so it will now be RVD against the ECW World Champion, Shane McMahon & Umaga. Will the Chairman, his son and the Samoan Bulldozer succeed in destroying the spirit of ECW?

Also, The New Breed appeared to implode last week when Kevin Thorn quit following a loss to CM Punk and the unknown Major Brothers upset Marcus Cor Von & Matt Striker.

ECW Original, Sabu, among Tuesday releases

Just a few short days after Rob Conway and 2 Cold Scorpio were released by WWE, two more roster cuts were made Tuesday as Sabu and Vito parted ways with the Stamford, CT-based company.

In separate announcements made on wwe.com, the Fed announced that it, "has come to terms on the release," of both wrestlers.

Though Vito had not been seen on WWE TV in many weeks, Sabu, real name Terry Brunk, had been a regular member of the lineup on ECW on Sci-Fi. The former ECW champion, part of the "ECW Originals" faction, had been seen in recent weeks mixing it up alongside Rob Van Dam, The Sandman and Tommy Dreamer against various incarnations of the New Breed, which included Marcus Cor Von, CM Punk, Kevin Thorn, Matt Striker and Elijah Burke.

Sabu's WWE career began just prior to the second One Night Stand (in 2006), as he built to a World Heavyweight Title Match against Rey Mysterio.
