-Michael Cole welcomes us to the show, and says that a lot has happened over the last week. Bradshaw puts over the Undertaker/Batista match at Backlash, and we hear from fans as well as see highlights of the match. -Smackdown Open. 1- THE BOOGEYMAN VS. WILLIAM REGAL Boogeyman is seconded by Little Boogey this week, while Regal has Dave Taylor in his corner. Not sure who has the advantage there. Clean break in the corner from Boogeyman. Even a push of Regal into the corner off a tie-up from Boogeyman looks week. Boogeyman works over Regal in the corner but goes after Taylor, who came up to the apron, and a boot from Regal puts him down. Regal mashes Boogeymans head against the steel ring post with his boot. Series of knees to the head by Regal. Back elbow by Regal finds the mark, which gets a two-count.
WWE Backlash PPV Results 4/29/2007 (Atlanta, GA)
Backlash opened with a video package about Wrestlemania and the events that have followed leading to the three main events tonight. Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler welcomed us to the show, then tossed it over to Joey Styles & Tazz, who then tossed it to Michael Cole & JBL. I guess we won't have to worry about any announcers losing their voices tonight. World Tag Team Championship Match Referee: Jack Doan Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch vs. The Hardys (c) Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler called this one. Ross put over that Murdoch was trained by Harley Race and Cade was trained by Shawn Michaels. I believe that's the first time that has ever been mentioned on WWE television. The start: Matt started off with Cade, with Cade backing Matt into a corner and breaking clean.
WEDNESDAY: Cole may be subject of ethics inquiry (5:38 pm)
A female intern in the state Legislature has been fired and Assemblyman Michael Cole, R-Alden, may be the subject of a related inquiry, according to published reports. The New York Post reported on Wednesday that Cole could face sanctions over fraternization that was alleged to have occurred during a Sabres-watching party at an Albany bar. Cole also walked the intern to her apartment, though there are no charges of sexual misconduct, the Post reported. Cole is married and has two children. He did not return two calls seeking comment. Assemblyman Sam Hoyt, D-Buffalo, told Greater Niagara Newspapers on Wednesday that he sent about 10 e-mails to various Buffalo natives and the Western New York delegation inviting them to Legends, an Albany restaurant and bar, to watch the Buffalo Sabres-New York Islanders game on Monday last week.
Memphis man shot 15 times lives to talk about it
MEMPHIS, TN - "It was just a normal day. Woke up, ate breakfast, little stuff like that. Hung around the house for a minute," Michael Cole explains. But there was nothing normal about what happened once Michael Cole left home the night of Friday, April 27th. He was supposed to be going to visit his little boy. "What's where I was supposed to been going, but a hard head make a soft behind," says Cole. Instead of going to see his son, Michael Cole stopped by Peppertree Apartments in Whitehaven. There are signs that prove the area is a haven for trouble. Those who live in Peppertree are protected by double fenced gates. They tell us they simply don't come out after dark and management requires a code to get in and out.
