| WWE News: Sabu and Vito released from WWE
It was only a matter of when, not if. WWE.com says that Sabu and Vito have been released from the company. WWE, of course, wishes them well on future endeavors. Sabu, who signed a one-year deal in April 2006, had an up-and-down tenure in WWE as part of the ECW brand. In July 2006, he was pulled over with RVD when they were speeding while in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Sabu was fined $500 and RVD was fined $140 for the incident.

Bowers dials up pitching perfection
SPENCERVILLE — Jefferson's Shauna Bowers earned a first for the Lady Wildcats softball program — a perfect game — as the Lady Jeffcats whitewashed the Spencerville Lady Bearcats 9-0 in a Northwest Conference contest at Spencerville High School Friday afternoon. Bowers rendered the Spencerville batters helpless, striking out 14. She faced the bare minimum of 21 batters, issuing no walks. “Shauna got the first perfect game for us," Jefferson coach Brad Rostorfer noted. “She was on it tonight and has been on it for the last three or four games. She had 14 strikeouts. She's been pitching extremely well for us, ever since the Lima Central Catholic game. This is a good thing for tournament time." Spencerville coach Jim Kuhn gave credit to Bowers on her pitching perfecto. “She had a no-hit, perfect game," Kuhn observed.
