During a meeting with investors Friday, Vince McMahon announced that WWE will start producing their shows in High Definition TV in 2008.

Jim Ross posted the following new blog on his website, jrbarbq.com:

I hope every one is having a great week. Things are well here in rainy Oklahoma and we have been fortunate to not have had any tornado issues in Norman unlike some of our neighbors to the west and north of us. The construction at our restaurant is coming along really well and it looks like we will be open for business on June 27 as it now stands.

Can They Be Champ? 5.16.07: Three New Former Champs

Lashley, Taker, and Christian recently lost their world titles. Will they ever hold world championship gold again? If only there was someone around here to predict these kinds of things...

What a week. I actually was at the Smackdown taping where Taker dropped the belt to Edge. I wasn't planning on attending the taping at first, but when I realized that Taker was probably going to have to lose the belt in Pittsburgh, I figured it would be worth going to. Luckily, I was right. Judgment Day is coming, and although I was initially afraid the card would suck (seeing how it was going to be headlined by a Great Khali match), it has actually shaped up pretty well. I'm really looking forward to Batista v. Edge, Michaels v. Orton, and Benoit v. MVP. You may recall that awhile back I did a column predicting the next champions for all of the major world titles.

The 10th Day News Report for 5.16.07

On Punk's loss. So he lost, big deal, they are making a feud. The man he is feuding with helped make him lose, and he lost to Monty Brown, not a complete jobber. Get off Punk's nuts, every time he loses doesn't mean someone is mad at him, let wrestling play out for christ's sake. How can you take a jacknife powerbomb on your face, and how the heck is that impressive, it sounds stupid and botched. -Chris Maybe there is a proper name for the move as executed, but I didn't know it off the top of my head. To me it looked like Kevin Nash's old jackknife powerbomb, but when Lexi Lane was picked up she was face down instead of face up and therefore when released took the bump on her face and not her back. For a young, attractive woman about five feet tall and a 110 pounds to take such a bump at a small indy fed show was impressive to me.

Lady Jeffcats’ bats batter Big Green

OTTOVILLE — With senior ace Jessie Miller nursing a sore arm, Ottoville's softball coach Joe Modica threw freshman Sammi Modica — in her first varsity start — versus Jefferson Tuesday night at Ottoville Community Park. The veteran Lady Jeffcats were all over that, scoring six runs in the first frame en route to a 12-1 5-inning victory over the Lady Green on a pleasant spring afternoon. “We figured Jefferson would do that, with this being Sammi's first start. Jess pitched a great game against Miller City Monday and her arm was sore," Modica explained. “With all the havoc the weather has produced this spring, forcing us to play a lot of games in a short period of time, it's too much for one girl to do. Plus, Jess is a senior, so we need to get some younger girls mound time." Jefferson (11-3) got going right away.

Helms Facing Neck Surgery; Pics Of TNA Titles Online; Jim Ross ...

Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com has reported that Gregory (Shane) Helms has a serious neck ailment which could keep him out of action for an extended amount of time. He notes that Helms has seen Dr Lloyd Youngblood to determine the severity of the injury. If he needs to undergo neck fusion surgery, he could be out until mid 2008.
