Sylvan Pass debate centers on idea of risk

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK - Five months after the Park Service announced plans to close Sylvan Pass to winter vehicles, many residents in Park County seem more determined than ever to see it kept open.More than 500 people attended a forum in Cody in March, with almost all of those who spoke saying they opposed closing the pass. And with three days remaining until another such meeting in Cody, critics of the plan say they have more questions now than when the process started. They say park planners have overstated avalanche risks as a justification to close the pass in winter, and they point to what they see as inconsistencies in how avalanche risks are treated elsewhere in the park. .

Raw: More Khali, no more Mr. Kennedy

First Triple H, then Undertaker, now Kennedy, who's next? I'm not talking about WWE champions, but instead members of the injured list. Will everyone survive as RAW stops in State College, Pennsylvania? (Where I saw my first RAW in person, and also the where the brand split started.)

Coach announces ECW Champion Mr. McMahon to the ring. Vince says not only is he ECW Champion, but he is still the chairman of the board. Vince says he has never seen anything like what happened last week, when The Great Khali took out four superstars.

After the video recap, Vince says only one man can take on John Cena at Judgment Day. Shawn Michaels cuts him off. HBK says he was going to beat Cena last week, when Khali cut him down from behind. HBK tells Vince that he has never made him anything, or done Michaels any favors.

Dr. Wrestling:Smackdown Live

This week for That's My Story and I'm Sticking To It I'll be telling you what I think of attending Smackdown at the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I got to the arena about an hour and a half before the show was scheduled to start and from the way the lines to get in were set up it was obvious that it probably wasn't exactly planned which gates were going to be open for the crowd to enter the building. I and the rest of the wrestling crew that was there with me were standing in line for Gate 3 when some arena worker showed up with a mega phone and informed some people to go to Gate 1 but after people had been in line they weren't going to go to the end of another line so the lines to get into the building were unorganized to say the least. A funny side note to waiting in line was that while waiting in line an older lady noticed that I was wearing a Kennedy T shirt and started yelling some vulgar things about Kennedy.

An Update On Chyna, WWE In High Def, Rena Mero, Sylvan

Rena "Sable" Mero was the third biggest mover on Wednesday in Yahoo.com searches. Brock Lesnar was No. 15. The surge in searches is probably due to Yahoo.com having a front article on Lesnar that day, which mentioned his divorce from Sable. WWE was No. 7 in total searches on the day.TVWeek.com has an article on WWE switching to HD sometime next year. There was an interesting back-and-forth with Bruce Leichtman, President of Leichtman Research, saying because WWE has more of a downscale appeal, its viewers are less likely to own HD sets, and said it isn't like people are going to start watching WWE because it's in HD. "Either you watch it or you don't." WWE's Gary Davis, vice president of corporate communications countered by saying they have doctors, lawyers, accountants and construction workers as fans and there fans are more likely to buy HD sets than an average U.S.
